Something that people who differ on everything and anything else can have in common.
After some Covid induced break, some concerts have started in October and November: amongst them a performance of Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue with The Christchurch Symphony Orchestra and Benjamin Northey, plus the Schumann Concerto Opus 54 with the Auckland Philharmonia and Giordano Bellincampi. The Auckland concert was slightly compromised as we had to lock the audience out 40 minutes prior to the start of the concert due to a new Coronavirus case in central Auckland. Not an easy situation to adjust, but we did it!
New recording project in the making:
the symphonies of Beethoven in chamber versions by Johann Nepumuk Hummel for violin, cello, flute and piano with my esteemed colleagues from New Zealand and Australia:
Curt Thomson, violin, Edith Salzmann, Cello and Uwe Grodd, flute.
The recordings have taken place in Melbourne, we started with Nr.6 and 2, watch this space!
